Hugh Sawrey passed a great part of his painting career based at the locality of Lurg in between Benalla and Glenrowan, NE Victoria.  While he is know by many as a painter of western QLD, he also produced many studies of the river gums of the Broken/Ovens river system flowing north into the Murray. This newly released print is one of those works.
